AthleteEquip calculates an athlete’s estimated one rep max for seven major exercises. Your one rep max is calculated using a combination of formulas recognized by the NSCA. These formulas relate multiple repetitions completed at a given weight to an estimated one rep max. This information allows you to track your progress without having to risk injury. This provides coaches and athletes a safe and effective means to predict maximal strength.
AthleteEquip automatically records and graphs estimated one reps maxes based on the results that the athlete enters on the last set for a tracked max exercise. The beautiful thing is that coaches get to decide which exercises they want to track the max for. As a coach you also decide whether or not you want the application to track the estimated one rep max when you add a workout to the calendar. This is particularly useful when you are doing recovery, deload, or speed workouts. If an Athlete’s max is updated the application will recommended weights based off the new max according the percentages that you set for subsequent workouts.
AthleteEquip is ideal for single or multisport athletes. Although our programs are customized based on an athlete’s specific needs, our training method integrates similar principles across all sports. Athletes can change their sport, season start date, season length, and all other registration information at anytime from their My Account page. As soon as an athlete finishes one sport, the coach can change what team they are on, creating a seamless transition without losing any data.
AthleteEquip is unlike anything else available. It is the first program to truly offer a complete turn key solution for coaches, program directors, and administrators. State of the art features include automated progress tracking, exact weight recommendations, team messaging, google calendar sync, detailed player metrics, live leaderboard, workout view with timers, location based events, and a completely customizable backend.
AthleteEquip is a web based platform, optimized for viewing and use on any device or browser. The application looks beautiful no matter where you access it from.

If there is no recommended weights appearing in your workout, then that means that you don’t yet have any max data for AthleteEquip to reference from. AthleteEquip will calculate your weights after you set your initial max by either completing the workout or having your coach enter your max information. The application will then provide recommended weights in all subsequent workouts for that particular exercise.
The progress graph will populate after you complete at least one workout that records your estimated one rep max or test your max with your coach.

Athletes of all levels, youth through professional, can benefit from AthleteEquip. For safety considerations, athletes should be at least 13 years or older.
If you have a program that works, we aren’t asking you abandon it. With our customizable backend logic you can implement your team’s current training program into our application. This will digitize and organize your training program, your athletes, and their results into an intuitive user interface so you can spend more time coaching and less time creating workouts. Although coaches know who their strongest players are, most don’t know how much any athlete has increased over a given period of time. Our progress tracking feature and advanced metrics gives you insight into your team’s strength level and development trends over time allowing you to refine you training methods and accelerate strength development. Custom school branding and individualized printable workout cards create legitimacy and promote athlete buy-in. Calendar exportability increases parent involvement and reduces scheduling conflicts throughout the year.
We recommend that a coach be present to supervise all training sessions. Coaches should take an active role during the session in order to help the athletes as they train. This will ensure that athletes are using proper form for each lift, reducing the potential for injury. If you coach a sport that does not have access to facilities or is separated by distance, you may be forced to train individually. With AthleteEquip’s exercise library and progress tracking feature, we give coaches the best opportunity to implement and run a successful training program no matter whether they are present or not.
We recommend organizing your athletes into groups of 2-6 athletes of similar strength levels. Lifting group size will vary based on the amount of equipment available and the speed at which athletes can rotate. AthleteEquip offers several options to help increase the efficiency in the weightroom. Coaches can use the proven call out method in conjunction with printed workout cards or use one of of live workout timers to directly display the workout to players. Utilizing the team setting workout timer on a large TV or projector or using the group setting workout timer with iPads at each station will allow coaches to worry less about the clock and more about the athletes.
One repetition maximum tests subject athletes to an increased risk of injury, so the less often that they are performed the better. AthleteEquip’s progress tracking feature provides accurate estimated one repetition maximums for any exercise that a coach wants to track. These totals are updated and recorded after any workout that is enabled by the coach, which can give you visibility into your teams strength level on a weekly basis rather than a semi annual basis. With AthleteEquip’s Test feature, you can still perform Real Tests for any Max or Evaluation. The results will update on the players progress graphs right alongside any Estimated one rep maximums.
Injured athletes should not train using workouts that you place on the Team calendar. If an athlete is injured they should be diagnosed by a medical trainer or doctor and only return when they have been cleared. AthleteEquip is currently developing a feature that will allow coaches or trainers to edit individual Athlete Calendars.
Because you control the intensity by setting the percentage for each workout, we recommend that you encouraged Athletes to add 5-10 lbs or perform additional repetitions on the last set of an exercise. This will increase their estimated one rep maximum and adjusts their future recommended weight.
